Ginger Mental Health Support Will Soon Be Available for Teens

If you have a teenager in the house, you know that life can be tough for adolescents to deal with. That’s why we’re excited to announce that children aged 13 –17 will have access to mental health support from Ginger starting January 3, 2023.

When your child signs up, they will have access to behavioral health coaches who can help them with a range of issues, including relationships with peers, study habits, and depression, all through text-based chat. Your child will also be able to receive video-based therapy and psychiatric sessions through office visits.

Teen dependents (aged 13-17) enrolled in a Mister medical plan must be referred by their parent/guardian within the Ginger Emotional Support app. To refer your teenager(s):

  1. Download the Ginger Emotional Support app.
  2. Tap “My Organization” and complete the registration steps.
  3. Tap “Profile,” then “Dependents”, and enter your child’s info.
  4. Your child will receive an email with instructions to sign up for Ginger.
